Term: Donor Zone

The hair which grows on this part of the scalp in the occipital area near the back of the head, especially for men, are follicles that are genetically resistant to hair loss. In FUE restoration-related surgeries, the zone is larger to accommodate individual extractions. In FUT, scalp laxity affects how much hair can be extracted.

Daily Hair Tip
Fine hair needs shampoos that provide enough moisture to prevent frizzies but not too much moisture that will weigh it down. Volumizing products provide fullness for limp locks.
